Not even sure if anyone still reads this blog as I've left it languishing for years for various reasons. It's been a rough few years on a personal level, and so now with a lot of that behind me, I'm able to focus on what I love: painting lumps of plastic and pushing them around tables.
I have even finished some miniatures lately. The completed ones are 16 poxwalkers for my 40K Death Guard army, and 6 second gen goblins painted in a classic style with vibrant colours and goblin green square bases just for the fun of it.
I'll upload some photos of them soon--I took some photos with my phone but for some reason they're not showing up in my gallery. Possibly because I took them as part of a text message.
But more importantly, I have spent a butt load of money on more 40K, with more Death Guard and am starting an Imperial Fists army too.
For Age of Sigmar I've bought some Tzeentch models and Ossiarch Bonereapers.
I bought Warcry and Corvus Cabal warband.
I bought Aeronautica Imperialis and absolutely love it, and am trying to buy all the models. So far I have all the non Forgeworld Imperial and Tau planes, but only the Ork planes from the first box set.
And most importantly I have bought the rulebook for Necromunda (not knowing I also needed the Gangs of the Underhive book which I don't have yet) plus the Escher gang box.
Necromunda is a game I always wanted to play when it first came out, but for reasons, I didn't. 40K seems like a simpler game because of the shorter rules, but it adds a lot of complexity and triggers you have to remember, which has made me lean toward Necromunda now, even though I haven't played the latter yet. The rules seem fairly good, and overall I think they will actually be simpler than 40K, so I'm looking forward to that.
Plus I've discovered Yaktribe, which is a fantastic forum for Necromunda (and other games), and they've put a lot of good work into the older editions and the community edition rules of the original. They've also got list builders and regularly have competitions and seem to run campaigns via the forums too, so they're definitely worth checking out.
So I'm being kept pretty busy now with lots of projects on the go. Which means I'll be posting on here again and have even been thinking about starting a new Youtube channel with the same name as this blog just for wargaming content.
